Important: This site, Chatroom, is a personal project and hobby site. This Terms of Service ("TOS") explains the rules for using Chatroom. This is not a contract between a user and a company — it is a set of rules maintained by the site's maintainers. See the "Not a Company" section below for details.
By accessing or using Chatroom (the "Site"), you agree to abide by these Terms of Service and any other guidelines or rules posted by the maintainers. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Site. Using the Site after changes to the TOS means you accept the updated terms.
The Site is intended for users who are at least the minimum legal age to consent to terms in their jurisdiction. If you are under the legal age in your location, do not use the Site. By using Chatroom you confirm you are legally able to agree to these terms.

You must notify maintainers immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. Maintainers are not responsible for damages resulting from compromised accounts caused by user negligence.
The design, text, images, and code provided on Chatroom are protected by copyright. Unless explicitly stated, you may not republish, redistribute, or sell site content. You may fork this project or reuse code according to the repository license; see the repository for license details.
Chatroom may embed third-party services (for example, the Cbox chat iframe). We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their behavior, content, or terms. You should review third-party terms before use.
Chatroom is provided "as is" and "as available." Maintainers make no warranties, express or implied, regarding reliability, availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, maintainers and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the maintainers and contributors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these TOS, or your violation of any rights of another.
By using the Site you acknowledge that we may collect minimal logs (e.g., IP addresses, timestamps) for security and moderation. For full details see our Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of the service and its users.
Maintainers may modify these Terms at any time. The modified terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance. Maintainers are not required to provide individualized notice.
Maintainers may suspend or terminate access for any user at any time for any reason, including policy or legal compliance. Termination does not limit maintainers from pursuing other remedies available under law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where maintainers operate. You agree that any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction to the extent allowed by law.
Important: Chatroom is not a registered company or business. This Site is a personal project created and maintained by an individual (the "Creator" or "Maintainers"). There is no corporate entity behind Chatroom. The Site is operated as a hobby/personal project and not as a commercial enterprise. Any use of corporate-sounding language is for legal clarity only and does not indicate that Chatroom is a company.
In plain words from the creator: "This is my hobby project. I built this for fun — I'm not a company, I don't offer guarantees, and I run things the best I can."
If you need to contact the maintainers regarding policy, moderation decisions, or other matters, include contact instructions or an email address here (or point users to the GitHub repo issues). Maintain clear, respectful communication.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the maintainers regarding the Site.
The maintainers may post playful or joke releases and notes (for example, cheeky release messages). These are not formal product releases or promises of functionality. Users should rely on actual version history and documentation for meaningful changes.
By continuing to use Chatroom, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree, stop using the Site immediately.
